Alex and Megan met at a house party in 2019 and they quickly became friends.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, they spent a lot of time on group calls and playing cup pong over messenger. When they could, they would spend time hanging out at a distance with friends. On the day Megan got into Dal, she called Alex and he was so happy for her. In the fall semester, Megan took a physics class that almost ended her academic career, and Alex saved the day by offering to tutor her (she still failed the midterm).

One day Alex told Megan that he had a crush on her. This changed the friendship big time and they started dating in November of 2020. They enjoyed going on hikes and getting to know each others' families better.

Megan moved to Halifax in February 2021 and they started doing long distance. When Megan moved to Halifax full time the following September, it didn't take long (less than a week) for Alex to book a flight to visit. For the next 2 years, Megan and Alex split their time between Montreal and Halifax, building homes in both cities.

Megan and Alex spent a few years exploring the east coast. Alex was able to get to Halifax about once a month, and worked from Megan's apartment for a week at a time. In the evenings, Megan and Alex spent time with friends and loved exploring local breweries.

Megan and Alex took their first big trip to Alaska during summer break.

Megan moved back to Montreal for her final clinical placement, and infiltrated Alex's apartment. They flew back to Halifax for grad and had so much fun celebrating with the Dal family. Soon after, they moved again into a bigger apartment.

Megan and Alex got engaged in New York City on July 19th, 2023. They feel so blessed to be celebrating their wedding day on the 2-year anniversary of one of the best days of their lives.

On March 10th, the day finally came for them to bring their puppy, Maki into their home. They had been wanting a Shiba Inu puppy for years and were so excited to welcome him into their family.

Megan, Alex, and Maki got the keys to their first home!
